If your car does not yet "speak Italian"

The national registration of a vehicle is a service offered to all those who, re-entering Italy from abroad with a car, need to nationalize and register a vehicle with an Italian number plate. For this purpose Cittadini has entered into an agreement with ACI, the Italian Automobile Club, in Rome.


If you are interested in this service, contact us after you have got together all the necessary documentation:

• the car's original registration papers
• any authentified translation on the headed paper of the relevant embassy or other diplomatic representative office
• consular declaration of re-entry, again on the headed paper of the relevant embassy or other diplomatic representative office, certifying that the car has been in your possession for a minimum of six months
• photocopy of an identity document
• tax number
• certificate of residence in Italy
